Currently in the inaka (a.k.a. the boonies) of Kansai in Japan working for the JET Program. I usually end up being more of a blond-haired, blue-eyed circus clown than a teacher, but hey, whatever makes the kids happy. I'm 22 now, and as of today my plan is to head home once I'm done here and take a stab at the US job market... Not looking forward to that though... If all else fails I can always run back to grad school!

I'm pretty open, I'm up for most anything as long as it gets me out of the house! Particularly movies, music, video games, computers, etc.

Well, this is embarassing... Let's just say that it's all across the board, including some of the Japanese pop board as well. Utada Hikaru will always be my first love, although I'm figuring out that Hirai Ken's music isn't so bad although he looks like he's in pain when he sings. My new favorite American singer (who's probably not new but who I accidentally found) is Nellie McKay.

Lost in Translation, Chicago, Moulin Rouge... I run the gambit from more arthouse type movies to other classics such as Mulan and Lilo and Stitch.
